Five students received 13 weeks of ILM Level 3 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship training preparing them for future employment.

All our programmes are free to people who grew up in the care system.
The charity’s goal is to provide YOU as a person with care experience, a space and people to turn to at times of celebration, periods of growth, loneliness or crisis. A charity founded on building a place to inspire, gain support and build a network of supporters.
Our values are core to our identity, guiding all decisions and actions, and representing what we expect everyone at Go Forward Youth to embody.

A ground-breaking programme that helps care-experienced young adults break down employment barriers through a uniquely tailored learning experience. Providing a mix of supported education attainment, applied business development work experience and therapeutic support, it aims to support their transition into the world of work, and feel empowered as they do it.
The Hub is a weekend project for ambitious and likeminded care experienced people aged 18-25 giving you all this and more in a homely, friendly environment.
The project will provide a place where were you can build relationships with peer’s and mentors in the community. Come and visit us.
GFY helped grow, being a trustee of the charity has allowed me to see a different perspective and I now have a wealth of knowledge on creating and running a successful charity. It’s made a difference by creating a safe space for people like me by people like me. I have been enable to build and enhance my project management skills which has assisted in my career development. GFY is like a home away from home with extended family. They have supported young people with their childcare needs, college & uni needs as well as connects young people to opportunities and stakeholders that they wouldn’t of likely had without the charity such as (Arsenal matches, engaging with lettings agencies, mentoring, cooking, composing funding applications and designing business plans).
GF has helped me develop my confidence in what I want to do. It has opened my eyes and see opportunities out in the world that I wouldn’t be able to see by myself. Before I wasn’t as outgoing as I am now where I can get my opinion out and improved my life in a way for the better. I was able to learn new skills because of GFY like being in charge of photoshops and that gave me a taste of responsibility and how it would be it I was working on photography. Now that GFY has a base it means that there is available space for young people to take their ideas and put then into action. I would like to think GFY has had positive impact on peoples life as I was able to join a project with other members of the group where we learned different skills and had the chance to grab different opportunities.
Go forward youth has helped me to gain confidence and believe in myself… it has helped me to connect with other young people who have the same goals and aspirations in life as me and have helped me gain experience in the sectors I want to go into, and make connections with these type of people go forward youth is also a place where you can express yourself openly without feeling judged and can also win with any problems or difficulties you may being going through in your life, go forward youth is such an important charity I believe it’s helped me a lot and I know a lot of other have gained a lot from charity to and I would love to see it grow and expand to help more and more young people get the best experiences in life they can get and have people that actually listen care and come from the same background as them. Go forward has made such a positive impact on my life as it has given me really good experiences in different ways like growing my confidence, helping me to look at things different and being able to express myself. GFY has helped me with my confidence helping me calm my anxiety and feel like I have purpose. GFY has made a difference in my life as I saw them not as a company but as a mentor and teacher on self-development of which I am grateful. A positive impact is an understatement, helping the youth of today of what will be the success of tomorrow is nothing but pure in a sense where it opens the doors to opportunities and a sense of individuality and progression. I believe it’s a representation of evolution in a sense where someone could go to GFY and come out with a whole new mindset, fuelling the driving force of ambition which will deliver you to your goals. From what I’ve seen I’d say they’re actions speak louder than words, they attend wrapped in a cocoon of self-doubt, low ego and confidence but come out ready to spread their wings and take flight on their journey called life.
GFY has been beneficial because it gives me stuff to do in the weekend and it gets me to see ppl that I don’t get the chance to see at work. It has helped me with my social skills. I get to do new things, meet new people and feel a loving environment around me. It gives a sense of community. It has also has positive impact on other peoples that I know as they have been able to get new career opportunities, and helped make friendships.
